Earthworm Jim/Neverhood creators open Kickstarter for Armikrog

Upcoming PC game from Doug TenNapel and Pencil Test Studios to be a claymation-animated point-and-click adventure title.

Earthworm Jim co-creator Doug TenNapel and Pencil Test Studios, a group composed of the people responsible for the Neverhood franchise in the late '90s, have opened a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming adventure game called Armikrog.

The game will be using stop-motion animation and sculpture for its art style and graphics. The point-and-click adventure title is about a space explorer named Tommynaut and his blind alien dog called Beak-Beak, who crash-land on an unknown planet and get locked up in a fortress called Armikrog. The soundtrack will be composed by Terry S. Taylor, who worked on The Neverhood.

At this point in time, the Kickstarter campaign total was at $403,258 with a pledge goal of $900,000. Digital rewards for contributors who donate $30 and beyond are a concept art book, a soundtrack sampler, and even a production puppet of main character Tommynaut.

The game is slated for a PC and Mac release and will be distributed through Steam and other download services. Head to the campaign page for more information.
