Family-Friendly Indie Dev Now Making Game About Killing Your Neighbors

Party Hard is the name of a new indie game where you play as a person fed up with their annoying neighbors and, instead of calling the police, you decide to go over there and kill them all. Publisher tinyBuild is calling it a "mass murder simulator."

As you can see in the gameplay trailer above, Party Hard has what developer Pinokl Games labels "semi-procedural" environments. Players will need to find unique ways of laying waste to their neighbors, doing things like utilizing stealth to take out enemies at the most opportune time.

Your ultimate goal is to not get caught. Utilizing a top-down view that lets you see the whole map and where everyone is, you'll need to carefully and intelligently kill people with your knife. The map is divided into multiple rooms, so you can coordinate effective attacks by waiting for them to enter a room alone. Then you strike.

But if another NPC walks into a room a sees a dead body, they'll rush to the phone and call the police. When the authorities get there, you're in big trouble.

Pinokl is a Ukrainian studio known for its casual and family friendly titles, so Party Hard is something of a departure from the company. The game was originally conceived during a game jam, and will be released for PC, iOS, and Android this summer. Console versions will follow.
