First details on Borderlands game from Walking Dead dev coming next month

If you're curious about what a Borderlands game from The Walking Dead developer Telltale Games might look like, you don't have to wait much longer to find out. TellTale Games and Gearbox Software will together unveil the first details on Tales from the Borderlands next month during SXSW in Austin, Texas.

Gearbox president Randy Pitchford, Borderlands 2 writer Anthony Burch, and Borderlands franchise director Matthew Armstrong will be joined on stage by Telltale president Kevin Bruner and designer Harrison Pink to discuss the new joint venture.

They will talk about how Gearbox and TellTale got together and reveal the "first glimpses" of how the story will play out. As you'd expect, attendees will also be able to ask questions. The panel will take place at the SXSW Gaming Expo on Saturday, March 8 at 5:30 p.m.

Tales from the Borderlands was announced during the VGX Awards in December. The first episode in the series is due out through digital distribution this year.

TellTales Games would appear to have a full plate. The company's currently announced and in-development projects include Tales from the Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us, the second season of The Walking Dead, and a new Game of Thrones adventure series.
