FOUR HORSEMEN Post An Update for Fans

The following update was posted today by the Four Horsemen on their Facebook page:

4Horsemen1FOUR HORSEMEN UPDATE!!

We just wanted to give everyone a quick update about the current happenings at Four Horsemen Toy Design Studios…

2013 SDCC: Yes, the San Diego Comic Con is quickly approaching and we’re going to be there again this year boothing up with our buddies at Action Figure Xpress (AFX). We’re not certain what our booth number is just yet, but as soon as we know, we’ll let you know. We’ll also be doing some panels for Mattel and possibly a few other panels as well, but we are also awaiting the dates and times info on those. More to come…

OUTER SPACE MEN: Currently in production are the SDCC 2013 exclusive Alpha Phase versions of wave 6 (Terra Firma & Jack Asteroid), and wave 7 (Horroscope & Ohpromatem), Premium figure 1 (Gamma-X) & Deluxe figure 2 (Colossus Rex). If everything goes as planned these will be up for sale at SDCC 2013 and we’ll be starting pre-orders through StoreHorsemen.com for them very soon. Photos of the fully painted versions, the first test shots, and the first clear colored samples of these also coming soon. Speaking of the Outer Space Men, our friends over at AFX will have their very own exclusive waves that they’ll be selling at SDCC 2013 as well! We’ll post prototype photos and preliminary info on Monday.

POWER LORDS: As you may have seen on the Battle Grip blog the other day, our pal Philip Reed posted some of his own pics of the Power Lords prototypes in our studio. Those figures, along with the mysterious extra heads that you saw in the pics are in production now. It’s going to be REALLY tight and we may not have enough time to pull it off, but we’re going to try our darndest to have at least one (hopefully more) SDCC 2013 exclusive Power Lords figures available for sale at the show and for pre-order through StoreHorsemen.com. More info and images coming soon.

FOURHORSEMEN.BIZ: Soon, this very site will be no more. We had to shut down our FANtastic Exclusive forums pages a few months back because of a sudden unstoppable influx of spam-bots. Because of that, we decided that it’s time to do a complete overhaul, not only of our message boards, but of this site as well. We’re in the midst of creating a whole new hub for all things Four Horsemen related and it looks like it’s going to be ready to launch sometime in June. Many board members from the FANEx forums have joined together to help make this thing happen and we really appreciate all of the time, hard work and effort they’ve put into it. We think you’re gonna dig what you see.

GOTHITROPOLIS: Many people are asking when we’re going to be starting the Kickstarter campaign for the Gothitropolis: Raven figure. Well that was one of the reasons our friend Phillip Reed of BattleGrip.com stopped by for a visit recently. He took a look at our proposed Kickstarter planned and helped us to streamline it and better prepare it for launch. Our current plan is to launch it just over a month from now on July 1st, 2013 and run the campaign through the 2013 San Diego Comic Con and end it on July 31st, 2013. We’ll post an official anouncement and specifics about it soon, but if you could please start spreading the word about it now, we’d really appreciate it. Our fingers are crossed that this works. Making toys is REALLY exspensive these days, especially for us smaller, more independant companies, so if this one goes as well as we’re hoping, you can expect to see lots more Four Horsemen projects come to life through Kickstarter in the future!

OTHER STUFF: As always, we’re working feverishly on new MotU Classics and DCU stuff for Mattel, as well as some new and exciting stuff of our own. We hope to reveal some new items at SDCC and we’re excited to see what everyone thinks of the new offerings from Mattel.
