FREE Download for a NEW Fan-Made #SuperPowers Mini-Comic!

There is a lot to love about the new McFarlane Toys DC Comics Super Powers Collection action figures now arriving at Walmarts in the US, but there are also a few things that long-time fans of the line are missing, such as built in action features and mini-comics coming with each figure.

We can’t install action features in existing figures, but we CAN help you with the other one of those “missings” by hosting the download of a great, new fanart Mini-Comic written by Carlin Trammel (@nerdlunch on Twitter and Instagram) and illustrated by William S. Wiist that ties in perfectly with the first 3 figures and vehicles in wave 1 of the new Super Powers line.  Best of all it’s FREE!    Print it out and fold it according to the included instructions, enjoy it and put it with your collection.

In talking about the creation of this fun personal project Carlin said:

One of the things about the original line that I have fond memories of was the inclusion of mini-comics during the first two waves. It was these mini-comics that launched me into collecting DC Comics regular titles because I used the form on the back to get a subscription.

I wouldn’t expect the new Super Powers figures to include mini-comics, but due to my love of them, I decided I had to make one myself. So, I teamed up with my artist friend William S. Wiist and together, we cranked out a 16-page mini-comic completely in the retro/salesy style of the original ones.

This comic showcases the entire line up of the first wave (Superman, Batman, Darkseid, the Supermobile, and the Batwing). When we began working on it, the newer figures had not yet been confirmed so those characters are absent.

We at AFi are proud to be asked host the download of this fanart mini comic for all of our fellow Super Powers fans to enjoy!
