Actor Doug Cockle, who voices Geralt in The Witcher series, has revealed that he has cancer. "Full blown prostate cancer," Cockle, who is 50, announced on Twitter.

In the wake of Cockle revealing his medical status, the wider Witcher community stepped up and showed their support for him as he undergoes treatment.

Cockle announced his cancer diagnosis publicly to his 20,000 followers to help raise awareness. He urged men over 50 to get a test, "just in case," and re-tweeted an article from Prostate Cancer UK. Cockle said he had "no idea" he had prostate cancer and it wasn't until he had a "random check" from the doctor that he realized he had "full blown" cancer.
