Henry Cavill Discusses The “Very, Very Bad” Hamstring Injury He Suffered On The Witcher Season 2

Actor Henry Cavill has spoken more about The Witcher Season 2 and has detailed the extent of his hamstring injury that he suffered on set last year. Cavill was sprinting through the woods for a scene when the injury happened. Showrunner Lauren Hissrich went to Cavill's trailer, where she learned the actor was in a "great amount of pain," she told The Hollywood Reporter.

It was discovered that Cavill tore his hamstring, and the actor characterized it as a "very, very bad tear." He said he feels fortunate that he didn't suffer a complete detachment of the hamstring.

Due to Cavill's injury, the shooting schedule changed, with his action scenes pushed to later in production. Cameras kept rolling, however, and Cavill filmed other scenes at the same time he was doing physical therapy. This was not easy.
