Indie World April 2024: Every Nintendo Switch Game You Can Play Right Now

New indie games to play or try right now!

Nintendo has released the latest Indie World presentation, which featured reveals and updates for over a dozen new games from indie developers headed for the Nintendo Switch later this year. As with every Nintendo presentation, some of those games are available right now, whether it's a full release or a demo players can try.

Here, you'll find all of the games and demos that were released at the end of this most recent presentation, which includes a Wario-Land-style platformer, a calming exploration adventure, and the fire art of knitting. You can also check out our gallery for the rest of the event's announcements, including the reveal of Steamworld Heist II and a release date for Lorelei and the Laser Eyes.

Antonblast

Antonblast is a side-scrolling platformer starring Dynamite Anton and Dynamite Annie as they run through a hand-drawn pixel-art world wielding powerful weapons against dangerous enemies. Both Anton and Annie can use their Mighty Hammer and Massive Mace respectively to destroy parts of each stage, which open up new paths to explore. The game launches for Switch on November 12, but a free demo is available right now.

Cat Quest 3

The first two Cat Quest games focused on high fantasy with swords and magic, but the latest installment instead takes to the high seas with pirates and ancient treasures--which players can tackle alone or with a friend in local co-op. A free demo for Cat Quest 3 is available now ahead of its full launch on August 8.

Europa

Europa follows an android named Zee, who lands on the moon Europa looking for clues behind a long-lost civilization. The 3D platformer will see Zee fly and glide through Europa's many biomes using a trusty jetpack, all while solving puzzles and exploring the ruins of the ancient societies lost to time. Europa will launch sometimes this year, but like the previous games, a demo is available now on the Nintendo eShop.

Sticky Business (and its DLC)

Sticky Business puts players in charge of a sticker shop, where they will design unique stickers using the over 400 elements available in the game and give them to customers who request them, while learning more about those customers in the process. Upgrades like foils can also be acquired to give your custom stickers more unique flavor, and the additional DLC Plan With Me adds more customers, more sticker designs, and a new journaling theme. Both Sticky Business and the Plan With Me DLC are available now on the Nintendo eShop.

Stitch

Stitch takes the relaxing world of knitting and cross-stitching and brings it to video games through unique and challenging number-based puzzles called "Hoops." Each section of a loop must follow the allotted number of squares in order to complete the overall design, and each completed design can be played again in a Free Stitch mode. Stitch is available now for purchase on Nintendo eShop.
