The new co-CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn, has shot down another unfounded rumor about who might play Superman next with Henry Cavill moving on from the role.

Posting on Twitter, Gunn responded to the unfounded speculation that Jacob Elordi (The Kissing Booth) could play Superman next. Gunn said, "My thoughts are no one has been cast as Superman yet."

Adding some further clarity and context, Gunn said casting for a new Superman actor will come when a script is "finished or close to finished." And in the case of the next Superman film, this hasn't happened yet.
