Jennifer Lawrence may have been nominated for an Oscar for her role in "Winter's Bone," but that doesn't mean that she actually thinks she's good at much of anything when it comes to the world of entertaining the masses.

As the star of "The Hunger Games," Lawrence had to display not only her skills as a critically acclaimed actress, but also show off her musical side, which she thinks has been much-too-hyped-about.

"I was pretty negative," she told MTV News about her singing of "Rue's Lullaby," a song her character, Katniss, sings for Rue, a younger tribute in the Games. "I think everybody's being like 'Oh my god! Jennifer's coming out with a new album! She's on the album on a single.' And I don't know; I'm not a singer."

However, when she saw the flick, which opens on March 23, she says she was pleasantly surprised by how little the focus is on her pipes. "I saw the movie," she said, "And I was like, 'OK, good, and I'm just kind of, like, singing.' "

The film also required her to whistle a bit, which turned out to be harder for her than she ever thought it could be. "That was all fake 'cause apparently I'm a bad whistler," she laughed. "I didn't know. I was like 'Yeah, yeah. Cool, cool, cool,' and then we started whistling and [director] Gary Ross was [like] 'God, you suck at whistling. Just do this, [purse] with your lips and don't actually whistle'."

The self-deprecating star further joked that she's not very good at a whole slew of other things. "You should see me dance. I'm terrible at everything," she said. "God, this is really sad. I can't do anything. I'm like short-selling myself, with like crying. I'm like, 'I fake everything. I'm not a good actor. Next question!' " Check out everything we've got on "The Hunger Games."
