The upcoming action game Killer Is Dead has launched early in Japan with average sales numbers.

According to the Media Create chart update from July 29 to August 4, the PlayStation 3 version of Killer Is Dead sold 17,709 units in its debut week. The Xbox 360 version was at 36th place.

Killer Is Dead will be out in North America for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 27. Launch copies of the game will come with an art book, a bonus Gigolo mission, a new story mission, and in-game outfits for supporting characters Vivienne and Mika. The Japanese and Asian versions (with English voice-overs and subtitles) are out now.
