Knockout City Getting 4K/120FPS Update For PS5 And Xbox Series X|S

EA's "dodgebrawl" game Knockout City is being updated to make the most of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, including support for 4K visuals and up to 120 FPS.

Players can choose from Performance and Quality modes from the settings menu when the patch goes live on November 2. These options include the following:

  • PS5: Native 4K at 60FPS, or 1440p (upscaled to 4K) at 120FPS
  • Xbox Series X: Native 4K at 60FPS, or 1620p (upscaled to 4K) at 120FPS
  • Xbox Series S: 1440p at 60FPS, or 1080p at 120FPS

Velan Studios says players can look forward to a "richer graphic experience" on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. "We have enhanced our lighting with the additional power from next gen consoles, adding features like new area lights, ball lights, particle lights, improved global illumination, and local light shadows," the studio said. "Each of these additional sources gives the environment more reactions to the way light illuminates paths or casts shadows."
