Today we get our first look at Melissa Benoist in full costume for CBS’ SUPERGIRL tv show.   Production on the show started this week.

Supergirl’s TV costume was designed by  Colleen Atwood, who also also designed the suits for other DC Comics television properties, “The Flash” and “Arrow” currently airing on The CW.

It’s a little on the dark side… but after waiting through 10 season of Smallvill waiting for Clark to suit up, seeing this on day one makes this DC fan very happy.

They released 2 images today: a smiling headshot and a full body image.
