Levine hasn’t given up on BioShock Vita

Irrational Games creative director Ken levine says he has met with Take-Two and Sony about the idea in the past few weeks.

Irrational Games creative director Ken Levine remains intent on bringing a BioShock game to the PlayStation Vita.

"I am literally trying to make a match between the parties," Levine told Kotaku, referencing Sony and Take-Two Interactive.

"They have to agree and it has to be a business deal. I've been trying to do that for a very long time," he added. "I've still very much engaged in that. I can't personally greenlight the thing myself."

Levine explained that he spoke with all parties involved in the "past couple of weeks," but did not elaborate as to the outcome of the discussions. The designer said much the same thing in the middle of July, when he said he was "trying to make a match."

BioShock for the PS Vita was announced in June 2011 during E3, though development on the game has yet to begin.

In December, Levine said the team at Irrational has an idea with a "lot of potential" for the game. However, he cautioned gamers not to get too excited about the title, saying it would be possible only if the stars align.
