MAD EVENT MANAGEMENT AND OTAKU USA ANNOUNCE GUESTS FOR THE 2017 ANIME FAN FEST NJ AND THE DEBUT OF ANIME FAN FEST BALTIMORE!

WARWICK, NY, JANUARY 25–MAD Event Management follows up a successful second year in Edison, NJ at New Jersey Comic Expo with dates and guests for their return to Garden State, and the announcement of an all-new exhibition in Charm City! The second annual Anime Fan Fest presented by Otaku USA will return to the Garden State Exhibition Center in Somerset New Jersey April 22 and 23, 2017 with it’s special brand of geek-centric entertainment, bringing creators and fans together for two days of celebration of manga, anime and Asian culture.

The two companies also announce Anime Fan Fest Baltimore, which will debut two months later on June 3 and 4 at the Baltimore Convention Center in downtown Baltimore, MD.

Appearing at both conventions are cosplayers Yuffie Bunny and Jessie Pridemore, along with voice actors Bonnie Gordon, Xander Jeanneret, and Mike McFarland. Look for more guest announcements in the coming weeks!

“After producing countless events celebrating comics and pop culture, and our first anime convention in New Jersey having been such a success, we decided the time was right to look into expanding into additional markets” said Martha Donato, Executive Director and Founder of MAD Events. “Much like when the previous convention in Somerset moved on to a new location, the departure of Baltimore’s longtime anime convention left a hole which we are excited to fill for anime fans in Maryland. Attendees can expect a star-studded guest list of voice actors and cosplayers complimenting a full show floor packed with artists, designers and vendors with something for otakus of all ages! With the help of Otaku USA, we will bring authentic fandom backed with years of professional experience running some of the best conventions in the country. We couldn’t be more excited to announce our second anime convention!”

“Staff members of Otaku USA magazine had a blast at last year’s Fan Fest and we can’t wait to return to Somerset again this year. We’re also super excited to be coming to Baltimore for our second con of the year!  As the premier magazine for anime and manga, we look forward to being able to get together with so many fellow otaku over two weekends this year” says Carl Gnam, editorial director of Otaku USA. “Of course, we’ll have all the great activities we had last year, including our favorite industry guests, plenty of cosplay, lots of artists, panels with our favorite contributors, great dealers, our all-ages Dance Party, and we’re planning to add some new and exciting actives for this year’s two cons. We think anyone who loves Japanese pop culture will have a great time at both Fan Fest Somerset, and Fan Fest Baltimore!”

Further programming details and our full events schedule will be available soon.
