A data scientist and policy analyst by trade, he was galvanized by the fatal shooting of Michael Brown by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri in 2014. It was then that he — and fellow activists DeRay McKesson, Brittany Packnett, and Johnetta Elzie — launched Campaign Zero.
