Miley Cyrus Covers Melanie Safka’s ‘Look What They’ve Done To My Song’ (VIDEO)

Miley Cyrus nails her cover of Melanie Safka's "Look What They've Done To My Song."

Miley Cyrus sure has a penchant for singing in her backyard. But then again, why wouldn't she, considering she probably lives in a Nashville mansion? But that's not important here! What's important is that Miley has released another cover song from her "Backyard Sessions" series. Following her cover of Jeff Buckley's "Lilac Wine," the "Two And A Half Men" guest star has put her own spin on the Melanie Safka (of "Brand New Key" fame!!) classic "Look What They've Done To My Song," and it sounds GORG.

Accompanied by two acoustic guitars, Miley (who, by the way, shot this pre-haircut!!) confidently wails the words to the vintage hit: "Well, if the people are buying tears/ I'll be rich someday, Ma/ Look what they've done to my song." No disrespect to Miley's "Can't Be Tamed" era, but did anyone else hear that adorable country twang in her voice? Because we think that twang is just dyyyying to be fully realized in a country pop album. And yes, you can most definitely quote me on that.
