Mimoco Introduces New Einstein™ x MIMOBOT® Designer USB Flash Drives at SXSW 2012 to Celebrate the Genius’ 133rd Birthday

(Austin, TX – March, 2012) –  To celebrate the 133rd anniversary of Albert Einstein’s birth (March 14th, 1879), Mimoco (www.mimoco.com), makers of the MIMOBOT® and MIMOMICRO™ lines of designer USB flash drives and card readers, is unveiling two brand-new Einstein™ x MIMOBOT characters at SXSW (South By Southwest) – Emcee2Einstein and Brainstein MIMOBOT flash drives.

The Emcee2 Einstein and Brainstein MIMOBOT flash drives join the original Einstein™ MIMOBOT character (released at MacWorld), to kick off Mimoco’s Legends of MIMOBOT Series featuring their stylized take on icons, geniuses, and stars of the human race. The Einstein™ collection, available in up to 64GB capacities and preloaded with bonus Mimory™ and the MimoDesk™ personalization suite of Einstein-themed wallpapers, icons, and avatars, was developed in collaboration with The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and their exclusive licensing agency, GreenLight.

Emcee2 Einstein MIMOBOT re-imagines the iconic physicist as a record-spinning, techno beat-blasting DJ master sporting designer headphones. Emcee2 Einstein MIMOBOT reflects the physicist’s other great passion: Music. Indeed, the man who gave us the Theory of Relativity was also quoted as saying, “If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician.” Make Einstein’s wish come true! You don’t have to develop the unified theory, just be sure to store and transport all your mp3′s, as well as your scientific data on your Emcee2 Einstein MIMOBOT flash drive.

Brainstein MIMOBOT showcases, well, Dr. Einstein’s magnificent brain matter in all its gory glory! The Brainstein MIMOBOT, originally created by Michal Miszta as an entry into Mimoco’s Unmasked Design Challenge in partnership with Infectious, provided the spark for the Einstein™ x MIMOBOT series. This character cuts right to the chase. Who needs that bushy head of hair?! Let’s see the amazing brain from which all Einstein’s theories emanated! Well, okay! The Brainstein design celebrates the bulging mind of the good doctor, and is the perfect portable storage device for all your data, from complex cosmic theorems to pictures from that vacation in the Caribbean. With up to 64GB of memory, Brainstein MIMOBOT is always the smartest flash drive in the room.

The full Einstein™ x MIMOBOT collection is on offer for their first availability at Mimoco’s SXSW booth #520 at Austin’s Convention Center and online at www.mimoco.com.

About Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany on March 14, 1879. As a child, Einstein revealed an extraordinary curiosity for understanding the mysteries of science (started only at age 10/11). In 1905, while working as a patent clerk in Bern, Switzerland, the young physicist Einstein obtained his Doctorate degree and published four of his most influential research papers, including the Special Theory of Relativity. In that, the now world famous equation “e = mc2″ unlocked mysteries of the Universe theretofore unknown. Ten years later, in 1915, Einstein completed his General Theory of Relativity and in 1922 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics. It also launched him to international superstardom and his name became a household word synonymous with genius all over the world. Einstein was a founder of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and bequeathed his intellectual property to the institution upon his death in 1955.  Recognized as TIME magazine’s “Person of the Century” in 1999, Einstein’s intellect, coupled with his strong passion for social justice and dedication to pacifism, left the world with infinite knowledge and pioneering moral leadership.
