Meet MTV's latest Artist To Watch: Mask-wearing electro-house performer The Bloody Beetroots.

Nope, that's not Spider-Man you're looking at. It's Italian electro-house/dance-punk pioneer Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, better known to his audience as The Bloody Beetroots. Behind the decks since 2006, Rifo's released a plethora of rolicking EDM anthems like "Spank (featuring Tai & Bart B More," "Chronicles Of A Fallen Love (featuring Greta Svabo Bech)," and the recently released "Out Of Sight" featuring former Beatle Paul McCartney(!). Yeah, when you start collaborating with a member of The Beatles, you know things are going pretty well.

Listen to The Bloody Beetroots after the jump.

Taking after fellow masked DJ acts like Daft Punk and Deadmau5, Rifo creates electro-tinged dance floor staples in the vein of Justice and Major Lazer, and even has a super-close relationship with fellow electro-house DJ Steve Aoki. In fact, the two are so tight, that Rifo is even signed to Aoki's label, Dim Mak Records.

After generating some local buzz at SXSW and in various club gigs in L.A., and releasing a smattering of EPs, The Bloody Beetroots' first album, Romborama, surfaced in 2009, featuring appearances from the likes of Aoki (of course), Marracash, and The Cool Kids. (Check out mind-bending house track "Warp 1.9" or hip-hop-flecked "Come LA.")

Nowadays, the MTV Artist To Watch has released a handful of singles since his last record ("Church Of Noise (featuring Dennis Lyxzén)" and "Rocksteady"), and will soon release a brand-new album release, HIDE, on Ultra Records (home to Calvin Harris and Pitbull). The Bloody Beetroots' new album drops Sept. 17, but you can pass the time by watching Rifo go pyro with Mr. McCartney in their "Out Of Sight" video, and if you happen to visit Europe this summer (if so, then grrrrr), have a look at some of The Bloody Beetroots' upcoming tour dates.
