UNIVERSAL CITY, California — The 2012 MTV Movie Awards are officially on! Sure, the live broadcast is still a couple of days away — Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, to be precise, in case you've been living under a pile of Golden Popcorn for the past couple of weeks — but the film fun is already well under way here in Universal City.

Not only have we been bringing you interviews with hot stars from Kristen Stewart to Channing Tatum and beyond, thanks to our second annual Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week, we've also been very busy setting the stage for a perfect Movie Awards night — quite literally, in fact, as you can see in the exclusive photo on the upper left.

That's right, movie fans: Above you is your very first official look at the Gibson Amphitheatre, fully transformed for the 21st edition of the Movie Awards. (Yes, you read that right — we're 21 and legal now, baby!) Feast your eyes, for this is the site where "Rock of Ages" and "Get Him to the Greek" star Russell Brand will make his first-ever appearance as host of the Movie Awards. It's guaranteed to be an unforgettable outing, even if Brand admittedly has some prior experience having hosted two previous rounds of the Video Music Awards — a fact that former Movie Awards host Andy Samberg was more than happy to point out to us during his Sneak Week Peek appearance for "That's My Boy" on Wednesday.

"It's gonna be a real stretch from the VMAs," Samberg joked about Brand's upcoming gig. "What's he gonna do? I just wonder in the beginning if he's gonna have some short film about how he needs to make it to the Movie Awards on time before it starts. Is he gonna make it? He's in this film, how's he gonna get there? Every host seems to have this problem."

Kidding aside, Samberg later added: "Russell's gonna kill it. Russell's hilarious." We completely agree, Andy — besides, who could possibly screw up when they have such a glorious stage to call their home?

So no excuses, movie fans. This stage is where all the magic happens Sunday night. Be there at 9 p.m. ET sharp — one second late, and we're starting without you!

Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! The 21st annual MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET.
