Netflix Gives Avatar: The Last Airbender Fans A First Look At The Royal Fire Nation Family

Avatar: The Last Airbender was a once-in-a-generation animated series that ran from 2005-2008 on Nickelodeon. The visuals combined anime with American cartoons and relied on imagery of primarily Chinese culture, mixed with some other East Asian, Southeast Asian, South Asian, New World, Siberian, and even Arctic visuals and influences. On Tuesday, Netflix released the first look at the Fire Nation royal family for it's live-action adaptation.

In the photos, you have Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as General Iroh, Ken Leung as Commander Zhao, and Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula. Plus a new image of Ken Leung as Commander Zhao. Kim had originally voiced General Fong for the animated series.

They will join Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio Tarbell, and Ian Ousley as Aang, Katara, and Sokka, respectively. Even more casting includes Yvonne Chapman, Casey Camp-Horinek, and Tamlyn Tomita respectively as Suki, Kyoshi, Kanna, and Yukari, the latter an original character for the show.
