New images and details about Amazon's The Lord of the Rings TV series, The Rings of Power, have emerged ahead of the show's premiere in September. Specifically, we've gotten a new look at iconic Middle-earth characters Celebrimbor and Galadriel and learned a little bit more about them.

Speaking to Empire, showrunner JD Payne said Sauron is one of Middle-earth's greatest villains. A central character in Sauron's rise to power is Celebrimbor, the elven smith who was manipulated into helping create the Rings of Power.

"We're excited to be bringing him to Middle-earth. He's very mysterious," Payne said.
