New Song: Aaliyah Featuring Drake, ‘Enough Said’

Listen to Aaliyah's posthumous "Enough Said," featuring Drake.

It's no secret that Drake's love for the late Aaliyah runs deep -- remember when he got a tattoo of her face on his back? So, it makes sense that he'd be a part of Aaliyah's posthumous record, "Enough Said." Produced by Drake's longtime collaborator Noah "40" Shebib, "Enough Said" features Aaliyah's sultry and delicate vocals, which sit nicely over 40's dark and hazy track. Drake's flow is also somewhat subdued as he raps about the hardships of fame: "Is this even a discussion?/Don’t you ever wake up disgusted?/Every million I get an enemy or a cousin." I get that you've got problems, but also, maybe talk about Aaliyah a little? Just sayin'.

While any posthumous Aaliyah release should be a celebration of her talent, unfortunately that isn't always the case. Timbaland, Aaliyah's longtime friend and collaborator, has expressed his confusion and ultimate distaste that he wasn't included on "Enough Said." The producer explains to Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club: "I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if [Drake] do it, it should be with me and him, and Missy [Elliott]. I don't know what's going on. The proper way to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record. For it to be on his record, that would not be right." We kinda have to agree with Timbaland on this one. It's like, you're really gonna go ahead and not include the genius who used the crying baby sound in "Are You That Somebody?"
