New Song: Azealia Banks, ‘Yung Rapunxel’ (NSFW)

Azealia Banks dropped her new song "Yung Rapunxel."

Azealia Banks is back with her new song "Yung Rapunxel."

Let it never be said that NYC's Azealia Banks lacks fierceness. In fact, all that fierce can get a little frustrating when you've got more feuds than fingers. But Azealia's managed to not to let her fire-starting Twitter beefs and (debatable) homophobic slurs distract from the release of her latest song, "Yung Rapunxel." A bona fide hip-house banger (and the first single off her upcoming debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste), Azealia rhymes slickly (and NSFW-ly) over a busy witch-hop beat. And that's just what we like to hear, girl.

Listen to Azealia Banks' "Yung Rapunxel" after the jump.

Produced by seapunk DJ and internet pioneer LIL INTERNET, the "Barely Legal" rapper is back spitting fire over a manic '90s HI-NRG-influenced track, which is cut in between muffled hollers. "Who's cooler than this witch?/ Maneuver then dip, hip like the ruger/ this clip," Azealia opens on the song... and we can't really repeat anything else out loud. All expletives aside, we're SO glad to see Azealia's new track out in the world -- for a second there, we weren't sure we'd hear "Yung Rapunxel" at ALL what with how many times it kept getting rescheduled. Maybe this means Broke With Expensive Taste isn't that far behind? Keep your eye on the prize, Azealia -- we'd like to place an order for more badass tracks and less beef!
