New Song: Christina Aguilera, ‘Blank Page’

Listen to Christina Aguilera's Sia-penned ballad "Blank Page."

As far as we're concerned, Sia's got the pop music game on lock right now. Aside from being a sick vocalist and artist in her own right (it's been seven years, and we are STILL holding back tears from "Six Feet Under"'s final scene), Sia cowrote Rihanna's "Diamonds" and now she's written a stunning ballad called "Blank Page," written for and performed by Christina Aguilera.

Listen to Christina Aguilera's "Blank Page" after the jump.

Slated to appear on her forthcoming Lotus album, "Blank Page" is the polar opposite of Christina's poppy, sexy, assassin-themed single, "Your Body." And that's not to say that we didn't totally love watching Christina as a sexy (faux!) murderer, it's just that "Blank Page" lets Christina do exactly what she does best -- sing slow-burning, poignant ballads that showcase her unparalleled voice.

Reminiscent of her "Beautiful" era, "Blank Page" is a song about forgiveness and rebirth (which sort of makes sense given the fact that Xtina's Lotus cover art depicts her being reborn out of flower. Close reading FTW!): "How do I say I’m sorry?/ I am a blank page waiting for you to bring me to life/ Paint me a heart/ Let me be your art/ I am a blank page/waiting for life to start.” Tissues, please!!
