New Song: Frank Ocean, ‘White’

Frank Ocean is basically perfect in every way. He's already been in the studio with Beyoncé, Kanye West and Jay-Z, MTV named him one of 11 artists to watch in 2012, and now we invite you to add Frank's incredible new ballad "White" to his list of perfections.

Slated to appear on Odd Future's forthcoming mixtape "The OF Tape Vol. 2," "White" clocks in at just over two minutes, but it's two minutes of pure bliss! Set to a simple and sparse track, Frank's buttery and sultry vocals carry the entire song, creating the perfect backdrop for his poignant lyrics: "Could this be Earth, could this be light/ Does this mean everything's going to be alright/ One look out my window there's trees talking like people/ I dreamt of storms, I dreamt of sound/ I dreamt of gravity keeping us around." Straight-up poetry, y'all.

Listen to Frank Ocean's "White" after the jump.

Though we love Frank's more pop-rooted jams like "Novacane" and the Drake-esque "Dreamkilla," there's just something about the simplicity of "White" that really tugs at our heartstrings. I don't know about you, but I'm tooootally thinking "White" for my wedding song/ first dance with my tall (preferably rich) husband. Just gotta find an actual boyfriend first...

+ Listen to Frank Ocean "White."
