New Song: Kelly Rowland, ‘Dirty Laundry’ (NSFW)

Kelly Rowland gets real in her new song, "Dirty Laundry."

Kelly Rowland airs some "Dirty Laundry" in her brand-new track.

We kind of want to give Kelly Rowland an e-hug right now! (We sent it! Hope she got it!) Because aside from our ploy to actually touch Kelly Rowland's shoulder, after listening to Kel's revealing new record, "Dirty Laundry," off her forthcoming Talk A Good Game album, we feel like maybe a few extra hugs couldn't hurt.

Listen to Kelly Rowland's "Dirty Laundry" after the jump.

Set to a simple R&B beat, Kelly's bare-bones confessional is all about the heartbreaking lyrics, which touch upon an abusive past relationship, as well as her tumultuous, complex, and now seemingly healthy friendship with her Destiny's Child "sister" Beyoncé. On her relationship, Kelly sings, "I was battered/ He hit the window like it was me/ Until it shattered." As the piano-driven track pulses on, Kelly delves into her friendship with Beyoncé: "Bittersweet/ She was up, I was down…/ Post-Survivor, she on fire…/ Kinda lucky I was in her shadow." (AHHHHH.)

And later, in what is perhaps the hardest pill to swallow, Kelly admits that her abusive ex actually managed to convince her that Beyoncé didn't love her. WE CAN'T. But you know what? As hard as it must have been for Kelly to air her "Dirty Laundry," we imagine it was equally therapeutic. We commend her courage! And Kelly, let us know if you got that e-hug. Still kiiiinda wanna say we touched your shoulder.
