New Song: Taylor Swift, ‘State Of Grace’

So here we are again, writing about how AMAZING Taylor Swift's forthcoming Red disc will be. Don't believe us? Here's some proof: After peeping Red's full track list, listening to the album's official breakup anthem "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," the sensitive ballad "Begin Again," the true-to-form country pop tune "Red," the dubstep-tinged "I Knew You Were Trouble," and finally, a snippet of her brand-new song "State Of Grace," we were pretty psyched to hear the full version of "State Of Grace," which arrived late last night (or early this morning, depending how you look at it). And it's already No. 1 on the iTunes charts! Ridiculous in every possible way.

While "I Knew You Were Trouble" was considerably more aggressive than the pop-tastic "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and countryfied "Red," Taylor's "State Of Grace" falls somewhere in the middle. Its sparkling production and powerhouse vocals definitely has the record in the realm of pop, but Taylor's country twang isn't too far behind either.

Taylor recently stopped by "Good Morning America" to chat with her fans about the inspiration behind her new record: "I wrote this song about when you first fall in love with someone -- the possibilities, kind of thinking about the different ways that it could go. It's a really big sound. To me, this sounds like the feeling of falling in love in an epic way." And we agree -- both melodically and lyrically, Taylor delves deep as she sings about true love's free fall: "You come around and the armor falls/ Pierce the room like a cannon ball." Taylor's new album comes out Oct. 22 and, uh, duhhhh, look for it atop of every chart in existence!
