Maroon 5 get by with a little help from their fans in "Daylight."

Appearing on Saturday Night Live and The Voice, and pulling in a slew of Grammy nominations, including Best Pop Album for their smash hit Overexposed (if you see what they did there), has made this a super-busy couple of months for Maroon 5. Even more so for singer Adam Levine who, aside from his regular spot on the singing competition, managed to find time to get murdered by a crazy psychopath on American Horror Story, record a track with 50 Cent and Eminem, get nominated for six People's Choice Awards, and just kind of make the rest of us feel lazy with his all-around "perfect dude routine." Not cool, bro. So maybe it's not a surprise that Maroon 5 needed to call in a few thousand favors to get the filming of the video for the album's third single, “Daylight,” in the can.

The slow-building, rousing anthem is about the difficulties of growing up and moving on with Levine singing, "And when the daylight comes I'll have to go/ but tonight I'm gonna hold you so close/ Cause in the daylight we'll be on our own/ but tonight I need to hold you so close." Who can't relate to feeling like that from time to time (aka all of the times)?

The band and their director, Jonas Åkerlund, who has also made videos for everyone from Britney Spears and U2 to The Rolling Stones, as well as Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger," put out a call to the band's fans, asking them to share their video ideas. "As different as we all are, there are common themes that bring us together, inspire and show everyone what is important today," Levine said in the call for submissions.

The video features a collection of fans from around the world explaining what they're thankful for (family, friends, a totally cute doggie) and also what they hate (when people are judgmental, complain on Facebook, or make other people feel like they're not good enough). Fans are pictured singing along to the track, playing instruments, or just doing whatever it is that makes them special. Um...is it dusty in here? Or did someone just start chopping onions? We just have this thing in our eye...
