New Video: Trinidad Jame$, ‘Females Welcomed’

Trinidad James goes home in his latest video for "Females Welcomed"

Trinidad Jame$ returns to the Caribbean in his "Female$ Welcomed" video.

If nothing else, Trinidad Jame$ is a guy who is proud of his homeland. He's SO proud, in fact, that one of MTV's 2013 Artists To Watch literally made it part of his name (he was born "Nicholas Williams," just in case you were wondering). That said, we couldn't think of a better way for Trinidad to follow up the MASSIVE "All Gold Everything" than by returning to his homeland in the video for "Females Welcomed," from the mixtape Don't Be S.A.F.E. Who says you can't go home again?

Like fellow Trinidadian Nicki Minaj did in "Pound The Alarm" (that's one talented island), Trinidad Jame$ returns to the Caribbean in his brand-new clip. Once home, Trinidad visits all of his old haunts, though unlike his childhood (we're assuming), this time he's draped in gold and surrounded by scantily clad beauties. As night falls, we catch a glimpse of Carnivale, where women are adorned in feathers, men are painted like otherworldly demons, and Trinidad hits the stage and performs for a crowd of thousands (as if Carnival needed to TURN UP anymore). That's what's so great about going home: You go to see your family, eat for free, hang with some friends at your old favorite spot, then perform for an insane crowd with your internationally known rap songs. OK, maybe that last one is just Trinidad Jame$, but the rest still apply.
