Nintendo Takes Proactive Step With New Passkey Support For Accounts

There's a new way to sign into your Nintendo Account. The company now supports passkeys for logging in as "an additional layer of security."

The Nintendo customer support website reveals this new log-in functionality for passkeys. If you're unfamiliar, passkeys basically mean you can sign into a Nintendo Account with a fingerprint or facial recognition instead of a username and passcode. As such, it's tougher for someone to hack into your account.

Nintendo states that up to 10 passkeys can be utilized on an account. The following devices are supported by the company:
