Original Star Wars: Battlefront Updated With Online Multiplayer

Star Wars: Battlefront--the one from 2004, not DICE's 2015 Star Wars Battlefront reimagining--received a new update on Steam that turns the online multiplayer servers on.

"Online multiplayer on Steam has been added to the game," the update reads. It also adds several language options to the menu--including French, German, Italian, and Spanish--implements "additional audio support," and makes some quality-of-life adjustments for "a number of different screen sizes."   • Additional Notes: Mouse, Keyboard

The patch comes nearly a year after developer Pandemic Studios released a hotfix update. Star Wars: Battlefront is currently 50 percent off on Steam, dropping its price from $10 to $5. A bunch of other Star Wars games, such as Jedi: Fallen Order and 2017's Battlefront 2, are also discounted at various retailers.
