Powerhouse Comic Con Brings Pop Culture Icons to East Bay This Saturday, May 14th

May 11, 2022, PLEASANTON, CALIF., — Powerhouse Comic Con, East Bay’s pop culture and comic convention, returns to the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton this Saturday, May 14th, with a celebrity line-up of pop culture icons.

Established in 2017, Powerhouse Comic Con is returning this year for another day of pop culture fun for fans of all ages. The 2022 convention gives fans a rare chance to meet Reb Brown best-known for playing the lead in the television film Captain America and the action war film Uncommon Valor.

Joining Reb Brown is Marta Kristen who won the hearts of many TV viewers as Judy Robinson in the hit TV series Lost in Space. Also from the classic TV era comes actress Charlotte Stewart who is beloved by Little House on the Prairie fans around the world as school teacher Miss Eva Beadle. Charlotte Stewart’s acting career spans 50 years and includes working with David Lynch on Eraserhead and the TV show Twin Peaks.

 

Animation fans will be able to meet Michaela Jill Murphy (aka Jessie Flower), the voice of Toph Beifong on Avatar: The Last Airbender. Celebrity guest line at Powerhouse Comic Con also includes Jon Provost, best-known as Timmy on the hit TV show Lassie, Hollywood historian and author Laurie Jacobson, horror TV show host Lord Blood-Rah, and renowned comic book artists Luis Rivera (The Mis-Adventures of Adam West), Warren Montgomery (John Kirby: Firefox), Peter Secosh (Elvira, Nocturnals), and Tobe Daranouvong (Villain Comic, Sumo Geisha),

 

The show also features local artists, comic books, toy and anime vendors, celebrity panels, tabletop games, movie room, and an arcade presented by iiRcade, named the best arcade cabinet of 2022 by IGN. Powerhouse Comic Con’s popular cosplay contest is also returning this year with a grand prize of $300 cash.

 

The event is open from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, May 14th, at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA. Tickets are $15 online, $20 at the door, family pack (admit 4) is $40 and is available online only. Kids 12 and under are free with a paid adult.
