Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Health Upgrades Guide – All Soma Tree Flowers And Petals

When you start the campaign in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Sargon only has a couple of bars of health. Naturally, you'll need to increase his HP so you can tackle more challenges without any hassles. Our Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Soma Tree Petals and Soma Tree Flowers guide discusses all the locations where you can find these health upgrades. Likewise, please be reminded that this article contains spoilers.

The difference between Soma Tree Flowers and Soma Tree Petals

There are only six Soma Tree Flowers in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. However, obtaining one automatically grants you one extra HP bar/pip. Soma Tree Petals, though, tend to be plentiful. But you do need to acquire four of them to gain an extra health bar.

As for our Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Soma Tree Petals guide, we've organized it based on the zones that we visited during our playthrough. As such, there are instances when you need to obtain additional time powers to help with navigation and traversal.

Lower City Soma Tree Petals and Flowers

The map shows the location of all Soma Tree Petals and Flowers in the Lower City.

Lower City Soma Tree Petal #1

You can purchase this from the Mage, a vendor NPC in the Haven hub, for 500 crystals.

Lower City Soma Tree Petals #2 and 3, and Soma Tree Flower #1

A bit to the right of the Haven hub, you'll find a chamber that has the Prophecy of Mount Qaf side quest. This requires you to Sand Jars that are scattered all over the game world. Here's a quick summary:

  • You'll need five Sand Jars to complete the first part of this side quest, and you'll receive a Soma Tree Petal.
  • You'll need another five for the next part, and that also yields a Soma Tree Petal.
  • Once you turn in the last batch of Sand Jars, you'll acquire a Soma Tree Flower.

Lower City Soma Tree Petal #4

Defeat the Undead Prisoner sub-boss.

Lower City Soma Tree Flower #2

Defeat Jandahar, the manticore boss.

Lower City Soma Tree Petal #5

This is part of the Lost Warriors side quest. You have to defeat eight elite soldiers in various zones. Once these foes have been vanquished, make your way to the area further below the section that has the Haven hub. Ardashir will be waiting there for you, and you have to eliminate him, too.

Lower City Soma Tree Petal #6

This Soma Tree Petal in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is located close to the starting point of the campaign proper. There's a wall with glowing light, and you can destroy it by using the Dimensional Claw power. Look for an explosive object (i.e. red barrels, golden rocks, or purple bulbs), then grab it and bring it all the way to this spot. Continue further into the small chamber to find the health upgrade.

Sacred Archives Soma Tree Petals

The map shows the location of all Soma Tree Petals in the Sacred Archives.

Sacred Archives Soma Tree Petal #1

As you make your way up the promenade in the Sacred Archives, you'll spot some hermits worshiping at a mural. Simply move to the empty floor plate and press down to spawn a chest.

Sacred Archives Soma Tree Petal #2

For this Soma Tree Petal in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, you'll definitely be reminded of the Sacred Archives Time Puzzle. Upon entering the golden portal, you'll find yourself in a large chamber with several barred gates. Similar to the Time Puzzle, you need to do certain actions as Sargon so that his clones can replicate those actions in later rounds.

Sacred Archives Soma Tree Petal #3

Once you have the Clairvoyance ability from the Sacred Archives Time Puzzle, you should be able to defeat the Jailer elite. Doing so nets you the Holy Scholarship Key, which lets you bypass the doors with eye sensors in the Prison. Go to the Prison area and enter the lower cell, then eliminate the hostiles to obtain this health upgrade.

The Depths and Sunken Harbor Soma Tree Petals

The map shows the location of all Soma Tree Petals in the Depths and Sunken Harbor zones.

The Depths Soma Tree Petal #1

This Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown health upgrade can be found due west of where Sargon initially fell. You need the Shadow of the Simurgh power to get past the Giant Crawler. Once you're able to do that, you should see the item in a small nook in the sewers.

Sunken Harbor Soma Tree Petal #1

To obtain this Soma Tree Petal, go east of the Pirate's Village fast travel point and drop down the hanging ledges. In the next room to the right, use your abilities and jumps to climb to the top-left portion. Just watch out for swinging beams that have spikes.

Sunken Harbor Soma Tree Petal #2

To obtain this health upgrade, keep going right from the Landmines fast travel point, then climb up when you reach the large chamber. The ledge at the top has a treasure chest, and it reveals itself as a Mimic in disguise as soon as you interact with it. Kill the Mimic to claim this reward.

Pit of the Eternal Sands Soma Tree Petals and Flowers

The map shows the location of all Soma Tree Petals and Flowers in the Pit of the Eternal Sands.

Pit of the Eternal Sands Soma Tree Flower #1

This Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Soma Tree Flower is obtained after defeating Azdaha.

Pit of the Eternal Sands Soma Tree Petal #1

Getting this particular Soma Tree Petal can be quite tough. That's because you need to get past a lengthy section with several red crystal and push pillar traps.

Pit of the Eternal Sands Soma Tree Petal #2

Speaking of tough tasks, this Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Soma Tree Petal requires a few items. Here's a quick summary:

  • Make sure you have access to the Sentinel's Road fast travel point (you can get here after beating Azdaha and going right, then up).
  • Just below the fast travel point and Wak-Wak Tree, you'll see wall of glowing rocks. Use the Dimensional Claw to grab another rock to the right to destroy the obstacle.
  • Grab another rock and destroy the next wall. Don't forget to buy the map from Fariba.
  • The large chamber down below has a puzzle chest, but it requires you to find a Sentinel enemy. These are the living statues that stand guard in the Upper City zone. If you encounter one, use the Dimensional Claw to grab it, then bring it back to this area.
  • Toss the Sentinel mob down to the floor so it gets crushed by the push pillar trap. Doing so will make the chest appear.

Raging Sea Soma Tree Petals and Flowers

The map shows the location of all Soma Tree Petals in the Raging Sea.

Raging Sea Soma Tree Petal #1

You'll automatically obtain this Soma Tree Petal as part of the main quest. All you need to do is beat Orod so you can summon/shoot the nearby constellation.

Raging Sea Soma Tree Petal #2

This Soma Tree Petal in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is technically in the Raging Sea. However, the only way to get to it is by taking a detour in the Hyrcanian Forest. Here's a quick summary:

  • Use the Soma Tree fast travel point and keep going to the right. There are several sections here where you need to use the Fabric of Time power (i.e. grappling hook).
  • At the very end is the Lighthouse area. Don't forget to grab some goodies, as well as buy a map from Fariba.
  • Jump down from the cliffside and you'll fall straight down the mast of yet another ship.
  • Eliminate the spectral enemies here (you might need to use Clairvoyance to attack some of them). After defeating all the hostiles, you should be able to grab the item.

Hyrcanian Forest Soma Tree Petals and Flowers

The map shows the location of all Soma Tree Petals and Flowers in the Hyrcanian Forest. Note that the zone itself is called the Soma Tree, but we felt that using the same term (for both the zone and the health upgrades) seemed a bit redundant.

Hyrcanian Forest Soma Tree Petal #1

Talk to the lonely soldier to start The Deserter quest. Head down a couple of screens to find his buddy, then return to him to complete the objective.

Hyrcanian Forest Soma Tree Petal #2

Once you obtain Menolias' Bow, you'll start making your way back to the Lower City. Along the way, you'll spot a curious-looking area with a floor plate and ledges with tall grass. The goal here is to fire your arrows to cut down all the grass on the four ledges. If you can do this task fast enough, a chest with a Soma Tree Petal will spawn.

Hyrcanian Forest Soma Tree Flower #1

You can get this Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Soma Tree Flower by beating Kiana, a main story boss.

Hyrcanian Forest Soma Tree Petal #3

For this health upgrade, you need to use the Dimensional Claw to grab exploding bulbs. This should help you reach a small chamber in this part of the map. Defeat the enemies here to receive the reward.

Tower of Silence Soma Tree Petals and Flowers

The map shows the location of all Soma Tree Petals and Flowers in the Tower of Silence.

Tower of Silence Soma Tree Petal #1

In the lower-right portion of the Tower of Silence, you'll stumble upon a wide chasm. Use your Fabric of Time to grapple all the way to the cliffs in the right-hand side, which is also where you'll find this chest.

Tower of Silence Soma Tree Petal #2

You can get this Soma Tree Petal in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown by solving an intricate puzzle. The goal is to move Sargon so that the broken pieces look like a repaired monument on your screen. Once the structure looks completed, throw your Chakram to the circle in the middle of it.

Tower of Silence Soma Tree Flower #1

This reward can be yours after beating King Darius, one of the main story bosses.

Upper City Soma Tree Petals and Flowers

The map shows the location of all Soma Tree Petals and Flowers in the Upper City.

Upper City Soma Tree Petal #1

This petal reward is acquired after defeating Menolias, which is also when you'll receive the Chakram Teleport upgrade.

Upper City Soma Tree Petal #2

Now that you can teleport to wherever you throw your Chakram, you should be able to get past these spike traps. Below this section, there are metal gates that you can pass through via the Chakram Teleport technique.

Upper City Soma Tree Petal #3

This portion of the Upper City is initially accessible via the Haven hub or the Forest Ruins fast travel point in the Hyrcanian Forest. Beware since you have to go through numerous corridors that are filled with traps.

Upon arriving at this area in the Upper City, eliminate the Armored Archers. Then, use Clairvoyance to form ledges so you can grab the purple crystal at the top. Place it in the lower receptacle so you can fall down the pit. In the small room, you'll see three chests. The one on the right, funnily enough, is a Mimic. Take it out to obtain your reward.

Upper City Soma Tree Flower #1

This health upgrade in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is actually part of a very time-consuming endeavor. Basically, there's a secret chamber to the right of the Night Temple fast travel point in the Upper City. There, you'll meet Maryam, the NPC who gives you The Architect side quest.

Maryam mentions that she's the one who's designed the puzzle and trap challenges in various zones. She also admits that each reward that you obtain unlocks a symbol in her chamber. Once you've done everything, return to this chamber and shoot the symbols in the correct order. Doing so activates the golden portal, which also leads to a Soma Tree Flower reward.

In any case, these are the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Soma Tree Petals and Soma Tree Flowers that we've discovered so far. By the time you find all of these, Sargon should have a ton of health, greatly increasing his survivability in combat.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown takes you on a mystifying adventure all over Mount Qaf. We discuss various mechanics further in our guides hub.
