Red Dead Redemption voice actor joins iOS game

Rob Wiethoff joins cast of interactive radio drama Codename Cygnus from Reactive Studios; Kickstarter has 4 days left to reach $11,000 goal.

Red Dead Redemption voice actor Rob Wiethoff, who is best known for portraying John Marston in Rockstar Games' 2010 Western, has joined the cast of upcoming iOS game Codename Cygnus, its developer has announced.

Wiethoff has not done any voicework for games since he recorded for Red Dead Redemption.

Codename Cygnus is currently in development at Boston, Mass.-based Reactive Studios. Its existence is not a sure-thing just yet, as the game's Kickstarter campaign needs to raise just over $2,000 in the next four days to reach its $11,000 target.

Wiethoff joins a voice cast that includes Logan Cunningham (Bastion), Sarah Elmaleh (Skulls of the Shogun), Chris Ciulla (Fallout: New Vegas), and Chris Rando (Dance Central 3).

He will play the character Lazarus in one of two sidequest episodes during the game's first mission, both of which are expected to release in September, Reactive Studios said.
