Rihanna, Nicki Minaj Release New Albums; R. Kelly’s ‘Trapped In The Closet’ Premieres On IFC Friday

Welcome to Buzzworthy's "The Week In Pop," where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests, and TV performances by your favorite pop stars and more (so you don't have to).

Happy Thanksgiving week! There's lots of new music to soundtrack your food coma (and to dance off extra calories) starting with three of our favorite ladies: Rihanna drops album No. 7 (check out some fun we missed on her "777" tour), Kelly Clarkson packages her greatest hits with new tunes (she's on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Tuesday), and Nicki Minaj re-ups her latest with more songs (she hits "Live With Kelly And Michael" Wednesday). Guys get us into the groove, too: Kid Rock bares his Rebel Soul (he's on "VH1's Big Morning Buzz" today), Pitbull drops his seventh record (he visits "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" Tuesday and "VH1's Big Morning Buzz" Thursday), Phillip Phillips makes his debut (he's on "Late Show With David Letterman" tonight), and Led Zeppelin unleashes a live album. Also, for some postholiday feast drama, there's R. Kelly's "Trapped In The Closet"; the never-ending saga/dramedy premieres on IFC Friday.

NEW ALBUM RELEASES

+ Rihanna, Unapologetic: The stunningly beautiful singer may sometimes confound fans when it comes to her personal life (and how little clothing she wears at any given time), but when it comes to her music, Unapologetic is a solid way to tell the world she has nothing to be sorry about (and really, she doesn't). Check out "Nobody's Business," featuring a cameo by her controversial ex, Chris Brown. Watch the sensual "Diamonds" video (Kanye West's "Diamonds" remix is also tops), and her heart-wrenching performance of "Stay" on "Saturday Night Live."

+ Kelly ClarksonGreatest Hits – Chapter One: This year Kelly's been blowing us away with a bajillion awesome covers, but it's her own songs that keep us coming back for more. She's packaged some of her greatest megahits ("Since U Been Gone," "My Life Would Suck Without You," "Breakaway," "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)") with three new songs. Listen to the addictive, anthemic "People Like Us," watch the "Catch My Breath" video, and check out the country-tipped "Don't Rush" featuring Vince Gill.

+ Nicki MinajPink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up: When Nicki dreams up an idea, it's gotta be big. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded already had 19 songs, and for The Re-Up she's added seven new tracks to the mix. Hear new tune "Freedom," where she's confidently chill as she contemplates fame and watch the fairy-tale-themed "Va Va Voom" (unicorns, yesss!) video. Also take a look at the NSFW "The Boys" featuring Cassie, where the two look smoking hot and some dudes lose their lives in the interim.

Check out more new album releases, upcoming TV appearances, and performances after the jump.

+ Kid RockRebel Soul: Our man from Detroit's last album, Born Free, was contemplative. This time around he told MTV News that he wanted "to get back and make a fun Kid Rock record. Whatever it feels like that day in the studio, write those songs, whether they're hip-hop or rock and roll or country, just have fun with it.'" Alongside the fun is "Let's Ride," which he wrote for our troops. There's also the Ronnie Love cover "Detroit, Michigan" and songs titled in Kid Rock fashion ("Redneck Paradise," Gucci Galore").

+ PitbullGlobal Warming: While Mr. Worldwide's had a busy travel year, from the internet sending him to Alaska to performing at 2012 MTV EMA in Germany, he's still found the time to pen new material. And jet lag hasn't dampened his spirits any -- his new album still packs the brand of party-loving punch the Miami rapper favors. To wit, check out "Don't Stop The Party" where the party never stops (natch). Also hear "Feel This Moment" with Christina Aguilera; the track samples a-ha's "Take On Me."

+ Phillip PhillipsThe World From The Side Of The Moon: The winner of "American Idol" Season 11, The World is his debut album. Songs include the roots-driven "Man on the Moon" (not an R.E.M. cover, BTW) and acoustic ballad "Hold On." Also check out his performance video of "Home" from MTV's "Restore The Shore" live benefit show.

+ Led ZeppelinCelebration Day: Back in 2007, the surviving members of the legendary rock group (Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones, along with Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham) reunited in London's O2 Arena. The CD includes 17 songs recorded live from the landmark concert and features classics such as "Ramble On," "Whole Lotta Love," and "Stairway To Heaven."
