Rothco Alice Pack Frame Review (Upgrade Your Haslab Proton Pack)
If you’re a Ghostbusters fan, we’re living in glorious times. Hasbro has recently shipped its amazing Haslab Proton Pack that is one of the best Ghostbusters products ever brought to market. All the details are meticulously tailored to collectors and the cosplay community. Down to including hardware and attachments for an Alice Frame, the same type of backpack frame the “boys in grey” wore.
Where does one get an Alice Frame to upgrade your pack to be more screen accurate? Rothco is the go-to company for Alice Frames and it’s the best way to complete your Proton Pack. Don’t just take my word for it, Mythbusters star and cosplay icon Adam Savage uses the Rothco frame to upgrade a pack in one of his recent videos on his Tested channel.
The Alice Frame was a must for me in order to feel like my pack was complete. In fact it’s the only real complaint I can make against Hasbro that it wasn’t already included. I actually didn’t put my pack on until I had the frame installed because it wouldn’t feel right. Once it was on I was ready to start paranormal investigating and eliminating.
The frame itself is quite simple to install. All you need is a Phillips Head screwdriver and that’s it. Hasbro didn’t include instructions but did provide all the hardware so all you need is the frame itself which comes with straps for a comfortable fit. The straps that come with the pack are great but lack a sense of authenticity the Rothco straps have. Despite being easy to attach I didn’t figure out how to install the frame on my own though, thanks to Ghostbusters News for their very helpful Video.
If you own the Haslab Proton Pack and are more of a casual fan then maybe you don’t need the Alice Frame but honestly it improves the overall experience so much. I would highly recommend going the Rothco route even for display purposes, it really makes it feel like you have a screen used prop in your home. If you’re interested in purchasing the Alice Frame you can purchase it directly from the Rothco website Here. Special thanks to Rothco for sending along the frame for review purposes and making my Ghostbusters dreams come true.
