It’s the calm before the storm as the city of San Diego preps for the onslaught of pop culture next week for San Diego Comic Con.

There is a lot of early preparation that goes into a show like this and the city has to start early to get the banners up, the buses and trains skinned, the hotels decorated and much more.   Our local reporter Mike aka SDComics went down to the convention center and took a gallery of shots showing all of the preparation that is happening for the con, which kicks off this Wednesday for Preview Night.

Mike even manged to find the first Cosplayers of the con!  Now THAT is dedication!
