Skyrim DLC on PS3 starts February 12

Bethesda reveals release dates for long-missing Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Dawnguard expansions for latest Elder Scrolls game.

Bethesda today announced North American release dates for the long-absent Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim downloadable content for PlayStation 3. The Dragonborn, Dawnguard, and Hearthfire expansions, and the 1.8 title update, have all cleared certification with Sony and will begin to roll out in two weeks.

Dragonborn will launch first on Tuesday, February 12; Hearthfire drops a week later on February 19, with Dawnguard rounding out the group when it arrives February 26. All expansions will be marked down 50 percent during their first week.

Bethesda has yet to confirm release dates for the Skyrim DLC for PS3 gamers in Europe and other territories. This information will be shared once it becomes available.

The PC version of Skyrim will add the Dragonborn expansion February 5 through Steam. It will be available in multiple languages, including English, French, Italian, Spanish, and German.

In October, Bethesda explained that the missing Skyrim DLC for PS3 was "our problem, and it's on us to fix it." Prior to that, the company said potentially unsolvable issues could keep Dawnguard from ever releasing for PS3.
