It's Tuesday! Time for another round of "5 Must-Hear Pop Songs of the Week"!

This week's roundup includes a sloppy, stomping helping of dance-pop from our beloved dollar sign diva, soulful disco-R&B by a member of the Knowles family, some Christmas blues by a former Danity doll, a solid Brit-pop mashup, and the unexpected musical return of a certain dancer-turned-singer to the dance floor.

1.) Solange, "Locked in Closets"

After serving up the unbelievably solid comeback track "Losing You" in October, Solange Knowles has returned with her True EP, a collection of light dance gems sprinkled with disco and '80s R&B influences, co-crafted alongside Dev Hynes. "Locked in Closets" is easily a favorite from the collection, full of funky bass plucks and hazy synthesizers. "All I wanted was the dream of being in love with you," the supremely talented songstress swoons on repeat -- a welcome, refreshing change from the house-drenched beats of the Top 40.

2.) Bright Light Bright Light, "Get Outta My Films" (Kylie Minogue Mashup)

U.K. pop maestro Bright Light Bright Light (Rod Thomas) has decided to celebrate the season by releasing an e-advent calendar called "24 Days of Christmas." Each day, he's giving away one free bootleg mashing track off of his incredible 2012 debut Make Me Believe In Hope with some of his favorite pop tunes. "Get Outta My Films" is the first track from the collection -- a mix of his own "Cry At Films" and Kylie Minogue's "Get Outta My Way" -- and it's pure, dazzling disco brilliance, sending Kylie's heaven-sent vocals straight back to the 1980s. It's a must!

3.) Carmen Electra, "I Like It Loud"

Once upon a time -- a time before "Scary Movie" and the Pussycat Dolls, before "Baywatch" or even "Singled Out" -- dancer/actress/professional bombshell Carmen Electra was a recording artist, discovered and signed by Prince (!) in 1991. It didn't go very well, despite having been taken under Prince's (dove) wing, and Electra's musical ambitions were put on hold for 20 years ... until now with "I Like It Loud," Electra's triumphant, electro-tastic return to the scene. Produced by Bill Hamel, the song has the bombshell songstress turning the music up and dropping silly, hashtag-friendly references in the process ("You like that Lana Del Rey pout!") It's fun, it's cheeky, and it's best served loud.

4.) Ke$ha, "Out Alive"

It's been three years since Ke$ha's paint-smeared, alcohol-infused, party-pop debut Animal came out. And now, here we are in 2012, and, well, not that much has changed. K$ is still living life to the very last drop, and on her latest record, Warrior, she's spreading the glittery gospel. In the spirit of "Die Young" and Britney Spears' "Till The World Ends" (which Ke$ha penned), the dumpster-pop princess knows that life is too short to get tripped up on which dinosaur bone to accessorize with your owl feather headdress. "All the gold on earth, it won't buy time/ So we might as well give up the fight/ Live it up tonight, no one's getting out alive!" she roars on her massive deluxe track banger, "Out Alive." Get rowdy, animals.

5.) Dawn Richard, "Miles"

Bright Light Bright Light isn't the only one counting down the days 'til Christmas: Dawn Richard just released her very own Christmas-themed EP, Whiteout. But this ain't your typical collection of cheery tunes to curl up with next to the fire: "Now it’s cold, we’re buried in snow/ Love couldn't find us 'cause the roads are blocked/ Too far to get us out," she cries out on the drum & bass-infused "Miles," as moody moans and murky, The Weeknd-esque production sputters out of the speakers. It's a gorgeous number... even if it would probably be more fitting for Halloween.
