Song Premiere: Dead Sara, ‘Dear Love’

Rock chicks are just like, the coolest, aren't they? We definitely think so, and we're proud to add another female-fronted foursome to our arsenal. L.A.'s Dead Sara -- singer Emily Armstrong, guitarist Siouxsie Medley, drummer Sean Friday, bass player Chris Null -- are hitting us with the premiere of their latest, "Dear Love," and it rocks just about as much as it makes us want to cry. This is why girls run the world.

Dead Sara's "Weatherman" fans will find a little something different on "Dear Love." While the heavy guitars and Armstrong's powerhouse pipes are still front-and-center, the band takes us to a softer place on the midtempo track. Emily chants in a chorus you can't help but shout along to: "Dear love, he was a good man/ And I hope we rise to the occasion/ So I run away to you." Repeat after me: DO NOT TEXT YOUR EX. (It's one of those songs -- dangerous.) Also, Emily, can we trade vocal chords? Because I can't be the only one who could listen to this woman reading the ingredients off of a bag of gummy bears for hours on end.

Look out for Dead Sara on tour with Chevelle the The Used this spring, or catch them during one of their 40+ dates on the Vans Warped Tour this summer. Their self-titled debut album hits stores April 10.
