Sony points users to PS4 video on ‘slow news day’

PlayStation maker directs Twitter followers to watch PlayStation 4 teaser video hours before Microsoft will reveal its next-gen platform.

Just hours before Microsoft will unveil its next-generation Xbox, Sony has directed its Twitter followers to watch the new PlayStation 4 teaser video because "it's a slow news day."

When Sony announced the PS4 in February, Microsoft's director of Xbox Live programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb took a shot at the company, saying, "Announce a console without actually showing a console? That's one approach."

Microsoft's next-generation reveal event begins at 10 a.m. PDT. GameSpot is in attendance at the presentation and will host a live stream of the event beginning at 9 a.m. EDT.
