Sony’s GameStop Meme Stock Movie Starring Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Nick Offerman, And More Gets Release Date

The GameStop meme stock movie from Sony Pictures, Dumb Money, now has a release date. The film, which sports a cast of big names that includes Paul Dano and Seth Rogen, will be released in theaters on October 20.

Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya) directs the film, which is based on the book The Antisocial Network from Ben Mezrich. Mezrich also wrote the books that got turned into the films The Social Network and 21.

Dumb Money tells the story of the GameStop short-squeeze situation of 2021 that sent GameStop's stock price soaring. GameStop's stock price has since fallen back to Earth but is still up 300% over the past five years.
