Los Angeles, March 19, 2012—Comic Icon Stan Lee (therealstanlee.com) is set to sign his ground-breaking NY Times Best-seller “ROMEO AND JULIET: THE WAR” at Barnes & Noble At The Grove in Los Angeles this coming Saturday, March 24 at 5pm PT. ROMEO AND JULIET: THE WAR” is a large graphic novel coffee table book. The book is the brainchild Lee, Paris Kasidokostas Latsis and Terry Dougas, founders of 1821 Comics www.1821comics.com and Lee’s producing partner Gill Champion, President and COO of POW! Entertainment.

Since its release last month, the book has been on the NY Times Best Sellers list multiple times on both hardcover and paperback. The book is currently available everywhere at local comic retailers and bookstores.

ROMEO AND JULIET: THE WAR” is a futuristic and stylized retelling of William Shakespeare’s classic, Romeo and Juliet. The story takes Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers and places them in the futuristic sci-fi/ fantasy Empire of Verona, the most powerful territory on Earth. The MONTAGUES, powerful cyborgs made of artificial DNA, and the CAPULETS, genetically enhanced humans known for their speed and agility, worked in tandem to destroy all threats to the city. With no one left to fight, the Montagues and Capulets found themselves a new enemy: each other. “ROMEO AND JULIET: THE WAR” is printed as a beautiful large coffee table book with the story re-imagined by Stan Lee and Terry Dougas, written by Max Work and artwork by Skan Srisuwan.
