Steven Yeun’s New Show With Ali Wong Lands At Netflix

Netflix has scooped up the recently announced Ali Wong-Steven Yeun vehicle, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series, which is a dramedy titled Beef, will reportedly "follow two people involved in a road rage incident, both of whom let it burrow into their minds until it slowly consumes their every thought and action."

Wong and Yeun will both co-star and co-executive produce Beef, which is now being described as a limited series with 10 episodes, in collaboration with creator and showrunner Lee Sung Jin. Jin is co-executive producer on the polarizing but surprisingly vulnerable FXX comedy Dave about a white rapper and has also worked on HBO's Silicon Valley, FX's Singularity, and Amazon's Undone. As if those aren't enough credits to convey Jin's prolific nature and great track record, he's also working on the Showtime pilot Omniverse with Kanye West, Jaden Smith, and Scooter Braun.

Beef finds Wong and Yeun reteaming after working together on the short-lived and thankfully recently revived Tuca & Bertie, while the series itself sees Yeun reteam with A24--a production company Yeun just worked with on the immigrant drama Minari. Through Minari, Yeun recently made trailblazing Oscars history as the first ever Asian-American Best Actor nominee.
