@Target Prepares for #ForceFridayCountdown By Removing Almost ALL Star Wars Product from Shelves

My local Target store have done their late Summer toy aisle reset this past week and the most surprising thing in the new plan-o-gram is there is no more section for Star Wars toys.  From December 2014 to last week this is what the Star Wars section of my local Target in So Cal looked like:

Today when I go in and it’s ALL GONE.

There are still some Star Wars items scattered around such as the Lego aisle and the newly released Play-Skool Galactic Heroes pre-school line…

I even found some of the recent Mattel SW Hot Wheels vehicles in the clearance aisle, but ALL of the 6″ Star Wars Black (Slave Leia and Greedo leftovers) the SW Black 3.75″ figures, the Jakks oversized figures, all the SW Rebels ships and masks and ALL of that SW Command Army Man sets are all GONE.

Not on clearance… GONE.

Even the impressive cardboard SW header over that section… gone.

Is it all back in the stock room?   Are there still piles of Leias and Greedos laying in wait for me that will clog the pegs again?

I don’t know.  There’s half an aisle across from the TMNT stuff that is mostly clearance items now that I suspect will be transformed on September 4th.

How about the rest of you insiders?  Are you seeing the same thing at your local Targets?  Did it all just disappear?   Let us know what you are seeing in your town as we continue the countdown to new Star Wars product.
