The Black Keys Perform ‘Gold On The Ceiling’ With Generation Award Winner Johnny Depp At The 2012 MTV Movie Awards

While The Black Keys' 2012 MTV Movie Awards performance of "Gold On The Ceiling" involved no "baby twinz," it did feature a surprise far greater than baby-bottle-guzzling Belmont Bruins dressed in footie onesies: The Black Keys' Movie Awards performance included special guest Johnny Depp, who picked up the Generation Award for his achievement in film acting after picking up a guitar and ripping into the El Camino cut.

"I gotta thank MTV for this -- this is quite an amazing honor. It's like the Get-Out-Of-The-Business Award, basically," he joked after receiving the golden popcorn from Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry.

Recently, Johnny Depp has shared a stage with Marilyn Manson, but tonight, in true Captain Jack Sparrow spirit, he had no problem adding an extra layer of swashbuckling bravado to "Gold On The Ceiling," which already sounds like the soundtrack to a spaghetti Western saloon duel.

After Aerosmith presented Johnny Depp with his award, the actor (who must have some undiagnosed genetic malfunction that's resulted in him looking better than the entirety of the human population -- that's the ONLY thing I can think of to properly explain how good that man looks) praised Aerosmith as rock legends and hailed The Black Keys as future rock legends before hurtling himself full-bore into a live rendition of "Lonely Boy."

Any time you're ready to release that solo album, Johnny, we're ready too.
