So… we were all told at Toy Fair that wave 9 would be the end of the long running 5″ scale figures for their AMC’s The Walking Dead action figure line.   The line was going to change style and scale and be incorporated into their new 8″ Color Tops line of more statue like plastic figures.   Fans were dismayed and upset over this decision.   I have been in search of one last figure from wave 9 (Zombie Dale) and then I knew I was done.  Out.

But now, it appears all may not be lost…   Today McFarlane Toys sent out a link to the folks that signed up for a “Summer Preview” and included in that preview… were 2 new 5″ scale TWD figures:  Alexandria Constable Rick Grimes and Aaron.    Clicking through on the images in the link it informs you that these figures are exclusive to WALGREENS and both will be in stores Winter 2016!

So thank you to team Walgreens for keeping the 5″ Walking Dead line alive!
