The Minecraft Community Is “Boycotting” This Year’s Mob Vote

Mojang is once again hosting its annual Mob vote, an event where the community can vote between three different mobs to be added to Minecraft. But unlike past Mob Votes that added in creatures like the Sniffer, a large portion of the fan base has decided to "boycott" this year's Mob Vote instead of participating.

The Mob Vote was originally announced earlier this month, and players have the option to pick from the following mobs: a Crab that can place blocks further away when building, an Armadillo that can be used to craft Wolf armor, and the Penguin that can make boats travel faster.

The community began pushing back against this year's vote shortly after it was announced. A photo began making its way through X (formerly Twitter), that photo reads:
