The Witcher 3 Collector’s Edition, Preorder Bonuses Will Be Announced Next Month

As part of a special live event next month, Polish developer CD Projekt Red will officially announce, among other things, the preorder bonuses for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The studio previously described the bonuses people will get for reserving through CD Projekt Red's GOG.com as "f***ing amazing."

The announcement will happen June 5 at 2 p.m. EDT during CD Projekt Red's annual summer conference, which will be broadcast live. A teaser video for the event was published today. Don't expect these bonuses to be tied to a specific platform, as CD Projekt Red recently confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will not feature any platform-exclusive content.

Also during the event, the studio will unveil the Witcher 3's collector's edition and show off previously unseen footage from the game. CD Projekt Red cofounder Marcin Iwinski will host the event, which will also bring news about the future of GOG.com.

Originally scheduled to release this fall, CD Projekt Red recently delayed The Witcher 3 to February 2015. In addition to PC, the game is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Iwinski said previously that releasing the game on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, and keeping its spirit intact, would be impossible.
